In an effort to be more active while coping with depression I wanted to incorporate more time with my children. We have enjoyed reading daily with healthy snacks and outside play when the weather is comfortable. I’ve been adjusting to a healthier diet by getting myself to cook more often (different stir fry ideas, fresh fruits and veggies, etc.) and the kids like the menu too, well most of it. Just when I’m starting to get used to this schedule it’s going to change yet again when school starts in September. Going into the fall I plan to pay closer attention to myself. I notice when the weather changes (summer to fall and winter to spring to be more specific) my moods are really weird. It’s pretty outside but I’ll feel icky on the inside. I have things to look forward to it’s just a matter of focusing on the positives. I’m hoping to adjust to the weather changes better this coming season. That will be welcomed progress in coping with depression.
Doing more with the children
